VIDEO : Samira Wiley Says 'Depression Should Be Taken Seriously'

After the departure of Samira Wiley leaving Neflix series, Orange Is the New Black, she has been given many new opportunities, including FXX comedy, You're the Worst. On the show, she plays a therapist who has consulted by Aya Cash's Gretchen, who has been struggling with clinical depression. In an interview with Elle.com, Wiley was asked if the show allowed her to think about depression in a new way. To which she responded by saying that "depression needs to be treated in the same way that other medical conditions do. We don't necessarily think about it in the same light, but it should be taken seriously and people should get help." Samira Wiley's first appearance on You're the Worst airs on September 7 on FXX.
