Actress Jessica Chastain told her realtor that she would only look at apartments with fireplaces. She seems to have covered that demand with her stunning six-fireplace, 3,000 square foot apartment that is just blocks from Central Park. The actress said that during her first stay in New York City, she and her roommates used to splurge on the local Italian restaurant's baked ziti. Now she lives in a gorgeous 19th century mansion just across the street. The apartment is stylishly decorated by Ralph Lauren Home, and includes gorgeous silk wall hangings and silver-plated chandeliers. She says that this apartment is far from her first New York City apartment, which was a tiny three bedroom the size of her current living room. Architectural Digest is doing a piece on Chastain's gorgeously appointed home for their October issue.
