There is a great deal of controversy surrounding the upcoming film "The Birth of a Nation" after it was revealed that the director, Nate Parker, was accused and acquitted of a rape 17 years ago. However, no one is struggling more with the news than actress Gabrielle Union who acts in the film and is also a sexual assault survivor. Union says she took the film because "I knew I could walk out of our movie and speak to the audience about what it feels like to be a survivor.
