Tom Holland is the new Spider-Man. Fans first met him in Captain America: Civil War. In his upcoming solo movie, Holland's Spider-Man will be a high school student and protege of Tony Stark. In the movie, there will even be a school dance. Few promotional photos have been released for Spider-Man: Homecoming, but Holland posted a sneak peak to his instagram page. In the captian, Holland thanks his stunts director for making him look epic in the film. Spider-Man: Homecoming is set to release in July of 2017. The film also stars Donald Glover, Zendaya, and Robert Downey Jr.
We first met Tom Holland's new cinematic version of Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War when he swung into battle and politely introduced himself, "Hey everyone!" In fact, there will even be a dance! So far we've mostly seen happy-go-lucky imagery in most marketing materials and news concerning the film, but today Tom Holland proved that he is, in fact, a complete badass. Holland personally shared a photo via his own Instagram account, showing the webslinger in the darkness of a menacing alleyway.
