VIDEO : Governor's Awards Honorary Oscars For Jackie Chan and Industry Greats

Back in 2009, the Governor's Awards were created to take over handing out many of the honorary Oscars that made the February ceremony a bit too long for broadcast television. This year, the 2016 honorary Oscars will be going to action film star Jackie Chan, film editor Anne V. Coates, casting director Lynn Stalmaster and documentary filmmaker Frederick Wiseman. This will be Chan's first Oscar, which he receives for his outstanding working in choreographing and starring in action films. Lynn Stalmaster is honored for shaping the careers of such actors as John Travolta and Jon Voigt. Anne V. Coates edited the classic film Lawrence of Arabia. Wiserman's documentaries focused on creating support for marginalized cultures.
