While music lovers continue to mourn the deaths of Prince and David Bowie, two of the most iconic pop stars in the music industry, the MTV VMAs chose not to pay tribute to the artists at the Sunday night awards ceremony. Both artists received VMAs in their lifetime, with Bowie nominated ten times and prince twelve times. There has been no statement from MTV as to why they opted to leave out tributes to the legendary artists.
