It wasn't just a mother-daughter event! Fans were excited to see Blue Ivy, Beyonce and Jay-Z's daughter on the MTV Video Music Awards white carpet, but Blue Ivy wasn't the only surprise. Beyonce also brought the mothers of police shooting victims Mike Brown, Trayvon Martin, Eric Garner? and Oscar Grant to the red carpet. Brown, Martin, Garner and Grant are some of the most recognizable names that spurred the Black Lives Matters movement. This isn't the first time Beyonce has brought these mothers into the spotlight. They also appeared in her visual album, "Lemonade," while they held pictures of their sons.
