This year Disney made live action versions of animated classics like Pete's Dragon and The Jungle Book, and it looks like the company will continue its live-action trend. Sam Mendes is reportedly in early negotiations with Disney to direct the live-action version of the Roald Dahl classic, James and the Giant Peach. The script will be written by Nick Hornby. The deal isn't finalized with Mendes, but he's been known to get what he wants when it comes to directorial projects.
