Doug Liman has dropped out of directing the upcoming 20th Century Fox superhero film Gambit. Instead, the filmmaker will helm Justice League Dark based on the comics of DC. Justice League Dark is similar to Suicide Squad in that it follows a group of lesser-known comic characters. Guillermo del Toro was previously attached to the project. Liman is also re-teaming with Tom Cruise for the film 'American Made' next year.
