Joe Carnahan the man tapped to direct Bad Boys 3 just confirmed in an interview with IO9 that both Will Smith and Martin Lawrence will be back for the third installment. Carnahan said that Smith had a lot of commitments to do press for "Suicide Squad" so it was difficult to get those two bad boys in a room together to go over the script and get everyone's input. Carnahan assured fans there wouldn't be a reboot. He stated, "?There?s only one Will Smith and one Martin Lawrence. You can?t replace those guys and I wouldn?t want to be involved if it wasn?t Will and Martin. They are that franchise.? The movie will be called "Bad Boys For Life" but Carnahan stopped short of giving any plot details, only saying that there is a lot of funny "stuff" in the movie.
