VIDEO : Amber Heard Donates Her Divorce Settlement To ACLU & Children Hospital

Just days after Amber Heard and Johnny Depp reached an agreement in their highly publicized divorce, the actress is speaking out about how she plans on putting her $7 million settlement to good use. In a statement obtained by E! News, Amber said, "Money played no role for me personally and never has, except to the extent that I could donate it to charity and, in doing so, hopefully help those less able to defend themselves." Heard says her donation will be divided equally between the ACLU, with a particular focus to stop violence against women, and the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. Heard and Depp were married in 2015, after having dated for several years. They have no children together.
