Comedy Central recently announced that they would not be renewing Larry Wilmore's "The Nightly Show," and a lot of people were disappointed by the news, including former Daily Show host Jon Stewart. The Comedy Central icon had worked with host Larry Wilmore as a writer and correspondent on his show. When Comedy Central started looking for someone to replace Stephen Colbert in his 11:30 slot, Stewart jumped in to pitch the idea for the show, and Wilmore as its host.
