According to Comedy Central, former 'Daily Show' host Jon Stewart will appear on Larry Wilmore's finale for 'The Nightly Show' on Thursday night to bid him farewell. Wilmore's program premiered back in January 2015 to fill the slot vacated by Stephen Colbert when he made the jump to CBS. However, audience acceptance and ratings for "The Nightly Show" never approached its former "Daily Show" lead-in. Comedy Central announced the cancellation of Wilmore's program earlier this week.
