Warner Brothers confirmed Tuesday that Lady Gaga and Oscar-nominated actor Bradley Cooper will join forces in a remake of the classic Hollywood musical drama "A Star is Born." Cooper will make his directorial debut with the film, while Lady Gaga will make her feature film lead acting debut. "A Star is Born" is about an aspiring starlet who is helped by an aging leading man, and was originally released in 1937 with Janet Gaynor and Fredric March, before being remade with Judy Garland and James Mason in 1954 and with Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson in 1976. In the new film, which does not have a release date yet, Lady Gaga will compose and perform new songs.
