James Cameron's Avatar was a groundbreaking film, ushering in the mainstream use of 3D in theaters. It's also still the highest grossing film of all time in worldwide box office sales. Cameron has been talking about an Avatar theme park exhibit for a while now, and it's just been announced that Pandora: The World of Avatar will open in 2017 at Disney's Animal Kingdom. More details about the exhibit will be announced by Cameron in November. The attraction, which already began construction in 2014, will span 12-acres and will incorporate state-of-the-art immersive technologies.
