Late Show host Stephen Colbert is in talks with Showtime to host a live comedy special on election night. Showtime CEO, David Nevins, said, "I think it's going to happen." Since leaving his Comedy Central show "The Colbert Report" to begin his new chapter as The Late Show host, many have been left longing for the political commentary from Colbert. Showtime says the special would give people an alternative viewing option on election night. Colbert is already planning live coverage for at least two of the three debates between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.
