Even the teaser for the upcoming 'Justice League' film makes a joke about Aquaman talking to fish.
But the director of the sea-dweller's solo film, James Wan, wants the world to separate the cinematic version of the DC hero from his reputation.
Wan says, "I look at [Aquaman], he's kind of the Wolverine in some respect."
"He is the outsider who gets pulled into this world and he kind of doesn't want to belong and he was doing his own thing," he asserted.
