Today is Michael Shannon?s birthday. Shannon made his big-screen debut in Groundhog Day, the 1993 classic comedy that was directed by the late, great Harold Ramis and starred Bill Murray. Shannon played Fred, one half of the newlywed couple who went bonkers when Phil Connors gifted them tickets to Wrestlemania. Six years later, Shannon would receive an Academy Award nomination in the Best Supporting Actor category for his performance in Revolutionary Road.
