Oscar winning actress Brie Larson is getting fans excited for her upcoming role as Captain Marvel, taking to Twitter to post pictures of herself doing research while wearing the Captain Marvel outfit. In the Marvel comic book, Captain Marvel is the name of several fictional superheroes, and is the first female superhero to headline a film under the Marvel Studios banner. This means that fans are very invested, as are Larson and Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, who clarified which incarnation Larson would be portraying, saying "Captain Marvel has gone by many names in the comics, has had many people who've inhabited that costume and used that power base. I want to make it very clear: This hero's name is Carol Danvers." Captain Marvel is currently slated for a March 2019 release.
