The 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro has just gotten a little less tense as comedian and actress, Leslie Jones, joins NBC olympics commentator team. The SNL and star of Ghostbusters finished her fast day of live-tweeting for the Olympics yesterday. Jones has been giving a play- by-play commentary of what has happened so far for Team USA. The comedian was invited to join the team after she posted a tweet with picture of herself wrapped in a flag and wearing red, white and blue. The tweet read "Yep I love the Olympics it's the only time all countries come together to compete!" So impressed by her level of eagerness for the game that , Jim Bell, NBC Olympics executive producer tweet her back "You're officially invited to Rio. Want to come?"
