Writer, director James Gunn is celebrating his 46th birthday today. As a youngster Gunn had a strong affection for low budget films like Night of the Living Dead and Friday the 13th, inspiring him to write, produce, and star in his own films like The Specials a comedy which featured talent like Robe Lowe and Judy Greer. Over time his work gained the attention of Marvel Studios, and as such, he was asked to co-write and direct the company?s upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy movie. Happy Birthday James Gunn!!
