According to the Hollywood Reporter, Director Antoine Fuqua is jumping into television with both feet. A mere days after scoring a straight-to-series order at AT&T's Audience Network, Fuqua has now sold a medical drama to Showtime. Beginning as an original idea, Fuqua brought the project - entitled "The City" to writer Amy Holden Jones, who will write the script and executive produce alongside 3 Arts' Oly Obst. Hayley Schore and physician Roshan Sethi will also co-executive produce, and serve as co-writers on the pilot. Meanwhile, Fuqua's "The Magnificent Seven" starring Denzel Washington and Chris Pratt and based on Akira Kurosawa's "Seven Samurai," is due in theaters this September.
