Star Wars Episode 7 star Daisy Ridley deleted her account on Instagram this week after she draw criticism for comments about gun violence during the Teen Choice Awards. When Ridley closed down her official Instagram account, the last post she'd made came after Sunday's awards show, during which she said she was moved by one segment featuring Alton Sterling's son and other gun violence victims and victims' families. Her words, however, were met immediately with criticism and negativity that chastised the British actress for weighing in on the topic when she is not a U.S. citizen. Others also pointed out that her film franchise features gun violence as well, even though 'Star Wars' technically features laser guns.
