According to the pro dancer himself, Derek Hough will not be back on Dancing With the Stars when it returns for its 23rd season in September. Hough revealed the sad news while promoting Hairspray Live! at NBC's summer TCA press tour this week. Despite sitting out the upcoming season, Hough added that the door is always open for him to return to the show.
