Suicide Squad hits theaters on August 5th and so far the early reviews of the movie are all negative. Even positive reviews highlight some aspects of the film that don?t add up in the way the studio or director may have hoped. Some reviewers said the film was a failure in storytelling and directing. That is the harsh criticism that director David Ayer is responding to. Ayers tweeted a simple quote from Emiliano Zapata, which roughly translated means ?I?d prefer to die standing, than to live on my knees.? To Ayers, it?s better to risk it all and be slaughtered than to play by the rules set by others.
