NBC bringing in one of their own to host the 2017 Golden Globe Awards. Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon has been selected to host the 84th annual ceremony, which airs January 8 2017. NBC Entertainment chairman Bob Greenblatt made the announcement on Tuesday at the Television Critics Association summer press tour. Fallon follows British comedian Ricky Gervais. Gervais returned last year after three previous stints.
