According to Will Smith, fans shouldn't expect a revival of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air anytime soon. While recently promoting his upcoming movie Suicide Squad, Smith was asked about possibly rebooting the show and said, "I don't think ever, like pretty close to when hell freezes over. We're going to leave that one alone." Rumors circulated in 2015 that a reboot was in the works with Smith himself on board as a producer. However, reports then indicated that the idea for the show was an original sitcom that was possibly inspired by the Fresh Prince's original storyline.
