Actor Jeremy Renner has often joked about how the introduction of his character Hawkeye in 2012's "The Avengers" left a lot to be desired, since he was brainwashed by Tom Hiddleston's Loki at the beginning of the film. During a fan event in London recently, Renner said, "I was just getting to know who Hawkeye was, and then zap, I go round like a zombie, I'm like Loki's minion." Renner then admitted that he started looking for ways to remove his character from the superhero movie, saying that he told producers, "I'm giving you an option, if you just want to kick me out of this movie. Just, you know, at any given moment, if you wanna kill me off, daddy's gonna be having a heart attack."
