Channing Tatum is set to star in a remake of "Splash," the 1984 mermaid comedy . only in the new version, the genders will be reversed, meaning Tatum will be playing the mermaid! Tatum will co-star with Jillian Bell in the role originated by Tom Hanks while Tatum plays the part Daryl Hannah made famous. Ron howard directed the first take on the screenplay and will be producing the remake alongside Brian Grazer and their Imagine Entertainment. Marja-Lewis Ryan has been hired to write the new script.
