According to Deadline, Magic Mike's Channing Tatum and Workaholics' Jillian Bell will star in a remake of the movie 'Splash'. This time around however, Tatum star as a merman and Bell will be the land-dwelling New Yorker. Tom Hanks and Darryl Hannah first gained world-wide acclaim in the original 1984 movie and its impact has not diminished much in the three decades since its release. The film?s script will be penned by rising talent Marja-Lewis Ryan, with the movie's original director Ron Howard attached to produce for Imagine Entertainment.
