Actor Kiefer Sutherland has confirmed that Sony is producing a sequel to the 1990 filmFlatliners. Sutherland, who originally starred in the film, agreed to join the cast in early July. At the time it wasn't clear if it would be a reboot or a sequel, but thanks to a recent interview with Sutherland, the answer is clear. He said, "It is never stated but it will probably be very clearly understood that I?m the same character I was in the original Flatliners.
