It's been reported that Oscar winner Meryl Strep will join the cast of the new MAry Poppins sequel. Streep is reportedly in negotiations to play Mary's cousin Topsy. Emily Blunt will be taking over the lead role, originally made famous by Julie Andrews in the 1964 version. Hamilton creator Lin Manuel Miranda will play a streetlamp lighter named Jack. The film is slated for a December 2018 release.
