Katy Perry performed her new song "Rise" for the first time in front of millions of viewers during the final night of the Democratic National Convention. The singer also addressed her background while on stage. She said, "Both my parents are pastors and staunch Republicans. I didn't finish high school. Unfortunately, I don't have a formal education. But I do have an open mind and I have a voice." She then told the audience that she will be voting for Hillary Clinton in November. Shortly after her performance, Perry was seen sitting beside her boyfriend Orlando Bloom in the audience.
