The first trailer for Universal's upcoming horror film 'Split' reveals James McAvoy playing a creepy kidnapper with multiple personalities. M. Night Shyamalan wrote and directed the film. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the preview begins with three girls being kidnapped and taken to a lair, where McAvoy's character tells them, "I was sent to get you for a reason." McAvoy's Kevin, who's later diagnosed as having "23 identities" within him, next appears as a 9-year-old named Hedwig. The supernatural suspense thriller co-stars Anya Taylor Joy, Betty Buckley, Jessica Sula and Haley Lu Richardson. It's set to hit theaters on Jan. 20th, 2017.
