VIDEO : Filming Wraps on Star Wars 8

It may seem odd that a huge fan-based franchise like Star Wars did not have a panel scheduled for San Diego Comic Con this wee, but it had a pretty two reasons to stay away. First, Disney had a huge Star Wars Celebration in Europe. Second, as Director Rian Johnson just announced, Star Wars Episode VIII completely finished principal photography on Friday, July 22nd. Several stars, such as Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, and Mark Hamill, made public announcements when they finished their portion of the film. But as of Friday, Johnson posted "Final slate of the final shot. VIII is officially wrapped." The film is set to come out in May of 2018.
