One of the first questions 'Mr. Robot' actress Portia Doubleday received when she sat down at San Diego Comic Con this week was ?What?s coming up for her character Angela?? After joking that she couldn?t say, Doubleday went on to explain that Angela?s quite different this season than she was in the first season with the most interesting element being the idea of brainwash. Doubleday then explained that her character made a commitment to really dive deep this season into the implications of her mother?s death and going to work for E-Corp, the company responsible for that death as well as following cover-up. Doubleday adds that guilt and shame are something Angela is living with on a daily basis while eschewing the idea that she ?drank the Kool-Aid? or that she?s evil.
