VIDEO : 'Vampire Diaries' Actor Joins Cast of 'Supergirl' Season 2

Sources say that 'Vampire Diaries' actor Chris Wood has become the latest addition to the cast of Supergirl. Wood, who also recently nabbed a role in the second season of PBS? Civil War drama Mercy Street, will be joining 'Supergirl' as a series regular who has yet to be revealed. Sources say however, that it will be a character DC Comics fans will easily recognize. Insiders add that Wood?s character will also debut early on in the season. The second go-around of 'Supergirl' premieres on October 10th on The CW.
