VIDEO : Rock Band Rips Crowd at Republican National Convention

Celebrity in this news:

Rock band Third Eye Blind performed at a charity event for the nonprofit Musicians on Call at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame during the Republican National Convention this week and it didn't appear as if they were trying to make friends. Lead singer Stephen Jenkins and the band reportedly took the opportunity to criticize and mock the newly adopted GOP platform, changing lyrics to their songs and making a pointed introduction to their closing number, "Jumper," about a gay man who commits suicide. At the end of the song, Jenkins also went on to say, "Raise your hand if you believe in science." Online video clips of the concert even show the audience booing, to which Jenkins responds, "You can boo all you want, but I'm the artist up here."
