Knight , who played the beloved Seattle Grace doctor from 2005 to 2009, is heading back to Shondaland in 2017. The actor has landed a mystery recurring role on season two of The Catch . While there are no details about his new character quite yet, executive producer Allan Heinberg revealed in a statement announcing the news that the role was "created and written especially for him."
