VIDEO : New York Film Fest Opener Announced

The 54th New York Film Festival will open with a new documentary from "Selma" director Ava DuVernay, marking the first time Lincoln Center's renowned film festival has opened with a nonfiction film. Titled "The 13th," the documentary covers racial inequality and mass incarceration in the United States, beginning in the 20th century and ending with the Black Lives Matter movement. "The 13th" will kick off the 17-day festival on September 30th.
