VIDEO : Does The BFG's Failure Mean Steven Spielberg Has Lost It?

The people behind the BFG never expected it to be a huge box office hit like Finding Dory, despite the collaboration of Steven Spielberg and Disney, but they did at least expect it to open better than it did. Historically, most Roald Dahl adaptations, like Matilda, James and the Giant Peach, and The Witches, have been more successful with home video than theatrical releases though. Disney has had steady success with its animations but it's newer live-action ventures have all been a gamble.
