Katy Perry has released a new, inspiring single entitled "Rise" just in time for the Olympic games. This is Perry's first new releases since her 2013 album, "Prism". NBC has chosen to use the song as the anthem for Rio's summer games. With lyrics such as "Victory is in your veins", the song is meant to be inspirational and uplifting. Perry also released a music video for the song, featuring Olympic athletes such as Gabrielle Douglas, Michael Phelps and Usain Bolt. In a statement, Perry explained why she released this track ahead of her next album, and said that there is "a need for the world to unite."
