Debate has ensued in recent months over whether James Bond could be anything other than a white male. Actor Idris Elba's name became a name tossed around which later lead to conversations about whether or not Bond could ever be female. Speaking to Nicholas Hoult and Kristen Stewart in promotion of their new Equals film during an interview, Hoult was nominated for the role, in which he responded ?I think I?m a bit too young, to be honest,? adding that Bond is usually in his ?30s or 40s.? Stewart chimed in, prompting the conversation to turn to her opinion of a female Bond. Stewart even has a storyline which could fit a female Bond into the mix organically, so listen up screenwriters. She said ?You start off as the Bond girl and then you think it?s just the girlfriend and then you?re like, ?She?s actually [Bond],?? adding ?In the trailer, it?s him and then [a] bait and switch.?
