According to a report from Variety, Javier Bardem is being eyed for the role of Frankenstein in the rebooted cinematic universe of classic monster movies. Bardem is up for the role of the Frankenstein monster, not Dr. Frankenstein. A Bride of Frankenstein film is being developed but the report claims that Bardem's Frankenstein would make his first appearance prior to the standalone flick. Most recently, he was seen in Sean Penn's The Last Face but is also known well for his appearances in Skyfall, No Country For Old Men, and The Counselor.
