In the wake of the recent deaths of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile, Beyonce took to social media to share an open letter detailing her frustrations and feelings. In an open letter posted to her website entitled "Freedom", Beyonce said: ?We are sick and tired of the killings of young men and women in our communities." In the past, the singer has been criticized for speaking out against police brutality--calling her message "anti-police". However, in her letter, she outlines her wish for people to take civic action. She said: "We all have the power to channel our anger and frustration into action." She added: ?We must use our voices to contact the politicians and legislators in our districts and demand social and judicial changes.?
