Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe have been wondering for some time now what the deal is regarding studio ownership of the popular alien race the Skrulls. Recently, during a Twitter Q&A, someone asked 'Guardians of the Galaxy' director James Gunn, "W]hy are the Kree availible [sic] but the Skrulls are at Fox. Surely there are associated with each other?" to which he responded, "Some specific Skrulls are at Fox. But the Skrulls as a whole are co-owned."
