VIDEO : Bryan Cranston says new Power Rangers is completely reimagined

Power Rangers might not seem like a logical next step for acting superstar Bryan Cranston. The 1990's television series was known for a lot of fight choreography, but also a lot of weak dialogue and bizarre plot lines. But the Breaking Bad actor did an interview with Huffington Post where he clarified exactly what brought him into the children's action adventure franchise. He said that he was not at all interested in the script and the film until one of the producers walked him through their vision for the film ad the way they were going to approach the Power Rangers story. From that moment on, Cranston bought into the project. He said that the difference between the television show and this upcoming movie was as the same contrast between Adam West's 19760's Batman series, and Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight films. While the film is still about teenagers, Cranston says that it has a lot most substance, and has the same real tone as Nolan's approach to Batman.
