Actor Idris Elba was spotted in New York City on set for the long-anticipated movie adaptation of Stephen King's The Dark Tower. Elba plays The Gunslinger who roams a Wild West landscape in an alternate universe to our own, searching for the Dark Tower. Elba's hope is to preserve the dying world and in order to do so he must defeat the Man in Black, played by Matthew McConaughey. The Dark Tower has been in development for years, with director Ron Howard backing the project for most of that time.
