This is great?but it?s only the first step in a long road ahead. In the wake of the melanin-free catastrophe that was #OscarsSoWhite, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has released a historically diverse new member class of 2016. The list of 638 invitees, a record in size, is 46 percent female and 41 percent people of color.
