The first Star Trek Beyond trailer was not well-received by fans, and even actor and co-writer Simon Pegg was unhappy with how it presented the film. The Beastie Boys soundtrack gave it a very action movie-like vibe, but the second trailer was more subdued. Now, trailer number three is out with an unusual Rihanna soundtrack tie-in. The third trailer opens with the same Kirk voiceover and flashback as the second trailer, but from there we get a slightly better look of the Enterprise getting blasted to bits. Star Trek Beyond is the third film in the rebooted film timeline, which is now officially called the Kelvin Timeline. It follows the crew of the Enterprise as they reach the halfway point of their five-year mission. In the film, the Enterprise is attacked by a wave of unidentified aliens and the crew is forced to abandon ship.Star Trek Beyond comes out on July 22.
